The support of The Yellow Car Charitable Trust has enabled me to transform an idea I had while I was at The Royal College of Music into a reality. It enabled me to commission four musical arrangements for solo trumpet and full orchestra by a world-class orchestrator/arranger. With their help, I was also able to hire a professional recording studio to produce a demo CD of the four arrangements, including all production costs.” – Shane Brennan.

saffron walden choral society

Saffron Walden Choral Society

Yellow Car supports the Saffron Walden Choral Society. The choir’s repertoire is extensive and ambitious and includes Renaissance pieces as well as the works of living composers. The Choral Society has also formed significant musical partnerships within the wider community, engaging in such projects as MazeMusic.

Since 2005, donations from Yellow Car have allowed us to establish a Development Fund, enabling the choir to continue to develop its concert potential.  Without the help of Yellow Car we would not be able to take on extensive and ambitious programmes such as that planned for our 2014-15 season, which will include the fully-orchestrated version of the very popular Carmina Burana, and a complete performance of Bach’s St Matthew Passion, with full orchestra and international soloists.”
